FIRST RESPONSE FOR ROUGH SLEEPERS

People who are homeless or at risk of being homeless are encouraged to visit the day centres located in the inner city which provide support for homelessness. A member of the public or business concerned about a person or group experiencing homelessness can call The Salvation Army City Homeless Response (24/7) on 0429 511 833. The State Government through the Department for Child Protection and Family Support has established the Street to Home Program to provide outreach assistance for rough sleepers. These services are:

  • UCW Tranby Assertive Outreach Team (9220 1288)
  • Crossroads Assertive Outreach Team (0478 398 760)
